2007 Silent Auction

The Office of International Program’s Silent Auction again offers you the chance to bid on unique items from around the world. Join your colleagues during the fourth year of this exciting addition to the APS meeting, and help build international relationships by supporting OIP’s Global Experience. This year the Silent Auction will run from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., during the Welcome Reception.

OIP needs your help to provide a full selection of unique, international items. Do you have items from your travels or your local culture that you would be willing to donate? Donations may be in the form of crafts, artwork, tools, books, services, or any other item, such as bottles of wine, chocolate or special treats.

The Silent Auction will also be taking on a historic flavor this year by expanding its selection to include vintage books, antique/vintage laboratory equipment, and photography and other art. Please visit your bookshelves and laboratory cabinets and see if you have any gently-used books or lab equipment another plant pathologist would love to own!

If you are planning to bring an item to donate, download the donation form and submit to APS by July 18. Remember that donations are tax deductible where applicable!

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can still donate by shipping your item in advance to APS Headquarters.

Help this effort continue to grow… in the first three years, more than 200 items have been donated with nearly $10,000 raised!
