Plant Nematological Contributions
to Phytopathology

As part of our ongoing Centennial Celebration, this month's APSnet Feature highlights more than 250 years of plant nematology.

The 2007 annual meeting of APS saw a symposium to celebrate the historic contributions of plant nematology to plant pathology. In this Feature, the organizers and speakers of the symposium revisit a broad expanse of history, from a 1594 mention by William Shakespeare of a plant-parasitic nematode to new applications of nematological science to today's problems.

The article especially pays tribute to the individuals who've made this progress possible.
